Bryan K. Williams

Section Leader

Entrepreneurs, individual professionals and companies of all sizes call on Bryan Williams for legal representation with their corporate and transactional, business and commercial, and dispute resolution needs. Whether a client needs the reliability and experience of an attorney who can effectively meet their goals, serve as outside general counsel, or engage on limited specific transactions or matters, Bryan is a proven deal maker and problem solver.

With his practice spanning over three decades, Bryan has experienced and is attuned to the ever-changing legal landscape that impacts each client’s decisions and strategies in their respective industry or profession. His broad transactional and litigation experience, spanning numerous professions, industries and business sectors, makes him uniquely qualified to offer clients innovative legal solutions for sophisticated transactions and disputes. Bryan’s practical experience in negotiating, mediating and closing the most complex of transactions and deals enables him to offer clients a fresh prospective for attaining their legal and business objectives. He is particularly valued for the ability to mitigate potential problems before they can snowball into obstructive roadblocks.

Bryan’s goal is to continuously understand each client’s often unique “big picture” objectives. As a result, he designs solutions that address the full range of substantive law issues involved in any given matter. Bryan has participated in a wide variety of contract negotiation, formation and dispute resolution initiatives. His experience ranges from entity formation, governance and dissolution; to sales and acquisitions, management and operations, licensing and regulation; to labor and employment, life sciences and technologies. His deals and legal disputes have varied in size, scale and complexity from in excess of $100 million to less than $10,000.

After nearly twenty years of representing clients focused on the automotive and transportation, construction, healthcare, hospitality, retail and manufacturing industries, among others, Bryan is uniquely qualified to provide clients with value-added solutions and services for their respective business needs. Of particular note, Bryan’s experience in healthcare-related disciplines includes representing professionals with credentialing, licensing, privileging and disciplinary issues and actions, and includes representation of such professionals before administrative agencies, as well as a provider’s respective regulatory and governing boards.

Personally dedicated to the clients he serves, Bryan places a premium on cultivating strong relationships while delivering multi-dimensional legal counsel, practical business solutions and extraordinary service. He is known for his responsiveness, flexibility and acute sensitivity to each client’s economic concerns. Pragmatic and straight-forward, Bryan is able to establish trust by focusing on building bridges as opposed to creating adversity. He is directly committed to achieving immediate results for clients and colleagues alike.

In instances where diplomatic negotiation to a dispute proves unsuccessful, Bryan’s vast skills in representing large and small companies alike involved in all stages of the dispute resolution and traditional litigation process is an invaluable asset for clients. His approach to advocacy is one that balances cost with outcome. Bryan’s methodology includes a truly objective analysis of his client’s position and, where appropriate, a solution geared toward favorable compromise or outcome. In addition, Bryan also serves as a Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator that assists parties to resolve their civil and commercial disputes before or after litigation arises.

An invited guest speaker and author, Bryan is frequently called upon to address an array of business and legal topics. He has and continues to present before professional associations, a sampling of which includes the National Business Institute, Lorman Education Services and the Tennessee Attorneys Memo.
